It qualifies as an extra if it has the potential to affect multiple characters. Information about your own character should be restricted to their biography.
An active power is any power involving the direct manipulation of objects or people in the outside world, manifestation/summoning of forces to be used at the wielder's discretion. Examples of active (sometimes termed offensive) powers include: telekinesis, pyrokinesis, meteorological manipulation, temporal manipulation, shapeshifting, teleportation, etc.
Passive powers are any abilities which are inherent to an individual but do not affect the outside world. Such abilities can include: telepathy, clairvoyance, X-ray vision, healing factor, hyper-intelligence, hyper-linguistics, spatial awareness, accelerated/de-accelerated aging, astral projection, etc.
All characters who are aligned with The Brotherhood of Mutants who do not otherwise have an occupation are absorbed into the organization's shell corporation, Brotherhood Security Consulting and are listed as Private Security under the position field in the profile. The Brotherhood describe themselves as an organization dedicated to mutant safety and wellbeing. Much like the X-Men, they recruit mutants and rescue them from volatile situations by using technology rather than Cerebro. They follow news, tips from the deep web, television and other forms of media for mutant activity.
