Anything Else? Kier's family are quite literally royalty. Hailing from a remote wizarding region in the Cévennes, he was raised in the lap of luxury and isolated from the majority of the outside world until, at age eleven, he attended Hogwarts as an exchange student to be instructed under its finest headmaster, Professor Albus Dumbledore.
Even as a youth Kier resembled the element of air. Haughty, changing direction at a moment's notice, cool and indifferent. Like the Hippogriff core of his wand, he was a very prideful, entitled individual. It was, however, balanced with a certain degree of hands-to-dirt practicality. Like the air, Kier needed momentum. He needed to move, act, touch, taste, feel, be which separated him from the distant, lazy leadership style of his parents and ultimately placed him in Gryffindor.
As his body required movement, so did his mind. He was never one to entertain a single subject for long, always flitting about between seemingly unconnected issues until dramatically linking them together with a flourish almost impossible to comprehend. Needless to say, it wasn't easy to be Kier's friend, but you felt as though you were part of something.
An impulsive and decisive young man, Kier married young and had a child, but both were killed by Dark Wizards on a live feed just before his 25th birthday, a result of his service to the Ministry of Magic as a Hitwizard. He didn't change, precisely, after that, but one could say that he evolved to grow a harder edge, less imbued with the optimism of naivete. Having been raised for much of his life to believe he was special, it was a wake-up call that the universe did not treat him equally so.
After this, he entered academia and has been there for the past four years. That being said, one could not deny that he was brilliant, and so when he returned to Hogwarts to teach arithmancy, a subject in which over the years he had cultivated a distinct sense of renown, he was unquestionably hired on the spot. His classes are dense and deal with harrowingly specific, logical and mathematical definitions, but he is known to be an engaging professor.
When his father dies, he is next in line to lead the region.
Neo is an auror with the Ministry of Magic.
