Everyone's eyes nervously cast about, most looking at one occupant in particular in the rear who was bound, gagged, and blindfolded. Ten to one, this was their mark. No one else was bound in such a way.

It animated slowly, stretching wooden limbs, then reared up without a sound and trotted a little in place on Laurie's hand. It's movements were awkward and wooden, kind of like watching stop motion animation.

Ryler smirked, huffing with amusement. "Gimme a couple hours to write up some code then you'll be free as a bird."

Ryler nodded and Did some more mojo with the computer. "Ok. Good news is it's a simple GPS tracking device. Bad news is it has a trigger that will go off if you remove it. Good news is I should be able to overwrite it with some code that will make it look like you're just going about your daily life."

An officer eventually came to get him to speak with his lawyer.

Kat shrugged. "I'll have to do some more digging to figure that out. Independent contractors don't have to claim their employers just their income."

She grinned. "You too, Keelan. Sorry you fucked up." She looked back at her computer but seemed to realize a moment later what she had just said. She blinked at herself. "I mean--" she laughed. "Sorry you woke up fucked." Her brain had just sort of melted the two words together.

She laughed and extended her hand to him. "Let's rejoin the others, shall we?"

She grinned. "It's fun, And a hit at parties. That's all that matters."

She nodded. "Jet even joins in every now and then."
