Legend: *Miniature School, Single-Subforum

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the British wizarding school, located in the Highlands of Scotland. It takes students from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Ireland. Established around the 10th century, Hogwarts is considered to be one of the finest magical institutions in the wizarding world. Children with magical abilities are enrolled at birth, and acceptance is confirmed by owl post at age eleven. However, if the child in question is a Muggle-born, a professor from the school would come and inform the child's parents. The school's motto is Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus: Never tickle a sleeping dragon.

Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the American wizarding school, located on Mount Greylock in modern-day Massachusetts It accepts students from all over North America. Students of this school, as at Hogwarts in Scotland, are sorted into four houses. When Newt Scamander travelled to New York in the 1920s, he met several people who were educated at this school. Ilvermorny Castle is located on top of the highest peak of Mount Greylock in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. The front doors are adorned with marble statues of Sayre and Steward on either side. It is concealed by several enchantments which sometimes makes the school like a wreath of misty cloud.

Beauxbatons Academy of Magic (French: Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons) is the French wizarding school, located in the Pyrenees mountain of southern France. The school takes many of its students from France, as well as large numbers from Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. It's unknown if students from other countries are allowed. The school's coat of arms consists of two golden wands crossed over one another, each shooting three stars. Founded sometime before the 1290s, Beauxbatons has had many noteworthy students over the years. Most prominent are Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist famed for discovering the Philosopher's Stone, and his wife Perenelle.

Durmstrang Institute (Cyrillic: Дурмстранг) is the Scandinavian wizarding school. Located in the northernmost regions of either Norway or Sweden, the school is willing to accept international students as far afield as Bulgaria. Having existed since at least 1294, Durmstrang is one of the three schools that compete in the Triwizard Tournament, and is notorious for prominently featuring the Dark Arts in its curriculum. Durmstrang does not admit Muggle-borns, but it is shown that certain students may not necessarily share this prejudice.

Mahoutokoro (Japanese: 魔法所, Mahōtokoro) is the Japanese wizarding school, located on the topmost point of the Volcanic island of Minami Iwo Jima. It has the smallest student body of the eleven major wizarding schools. The school is located at the topmost point of Minami Iwo Jima, a volcanic island in the southern topical region of Japan. Described as an ornate and exquisite palace, it resembles a pagoda or a shiro made of Nephrite, or "mutton-fat jade", a translucent white stone. Mahoutokoro is possibly one of the oldest wizarding schools, as it is described as "ancient".

Uagadou is the Ugandan wizarding school, located in the Mountains of the Moon in western Uganda. It is the largest of the eleven wizarding schools, accepting students from all over Africa. Visitors to the school speak of a stunning edifice carved out of the mountainside and shrouded in mist, so that it sometimes appears simply to float in mid-air. Uagadou was founded at least a thousand years before the lifetime of Harry Potter, making it roughly the same age as Hogwarts (possibly even older). Although a number of smaller wizarding schools can be found throughout Africa, only Uagadou has stood the test of time and achieved an enviable international reputation.

The words for Mantigi mean 'Follow the River of Dreams,' and the horse emblem symbolizes duty. Mantigi School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is located in the Tararua Range in North New Zealand, serving as a school for all young witches and wizards of the two islands. It is another young school, opening to students in 1898. The school is famous for its array of daring sports that involves the students, such as bungee jumping, cross-country running and rock-climbing.

*Stāt Mageía
The School of Katástasi Mageía (Greek: κατάσταση μαγεία) is a magical community located within the apparently-ruined Greek Parthenon of the Athenian Acropolis. Construction began in 447 BC when the Athenian Empire was at the peak of its power. It was completed in 438 BC. Muggles see only a tourist destination. Students are given a magical strand around their wrist which corresponds to the essence of twelve gods and goddesses, functioning a little like houses in the other schools.
